THE COMMITTEE ON HUMAN RESEARCH (CHR)

CHR MEMBER INFORMATION

The CHR has members from across all schools and many disciplines. Faculty with various areas of expertise are needed for the committee. A term of service on the committee is normally two years, with about half the membership of each committee being replaced every year. The contribution of time and expertise is invaluable to the university and its overall commitment to the protection of the rights and welfare of subjects who volunteer to participate in biomedical and behavioral research.

The Committee on Human Research (CHR) meets every Thursday except for Thanksgiving and every Tuesday except for Holidays and the last week of December. There are currently four committees that share the responsibilities of the CHR.

	•	The Parnassus committee meets the second and fourth Thursday of the month at the Parnassus campus from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.
	•	The SFGH committee meets the first and third Thursday of the month at the SFGH from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
	•	The Laurel Heights (LHts) committee meets the first and third Tuesdays of the month at Laurel Heights campus from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
	•	The Mt. Zion meets the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at the Mt. Zion campus from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m.
